The damage was discovered around 7 a.m. Tuesday at Wilcox Technical High School in Meriden, according to the Connecticut State Police.
Police said school administrators found the stage and chairs that had been set up in the rear parking lot for the graduation ceremony had been damaged after being struck with eggs and paintballs. The estimated cost of the damage and clean-up was $2,500, police said.
Working with the school resource officer, investigators were able to uncover those responsible including Anthony Fuentes, 18, of Meriden, and three juveniles. All were charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief, police said.
A fourth juvenile has been identified and charges are pending.
Fuentes is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on June 28; the juveniles are scheduled to appear in New Haven Juvenile Court.
All involved are students at Wilcox Tech and have been suspended pending expulsion.
